This summer has been harsh on farmers, as anyone in the midwest knows. While it's hard to imagine any of these futuristic gardens getting large enough to meet the demand that farmers across Iowa meet, they are an interesting concept all the same. They're fun for urban environments, where there might not be fresh sweet corn stands dotted along the road all summer.
While we don't think these gardens will meet those needs, we do love the idea of urban gardening to let city dwellers have gardening capabilities. What do you think, are you excited to be able to garden on your roof or off your porch railing? Let us know in the comments!
